Make your own woven bracelets and bands with this handmade kit.
This loom can be used over and over to make many different projects. The kit contains enough yarns to make about 2 bracelets. You can use your own stash of yarns and threads to make more. Works great with embroidery threads, perle cotton, fingering or worsted weight yarns and more. This loom is designed to make narrow bands or ribbons. You can *only* make pieces that are 1/2 - 5/8 inch wide, but you can weave any length you like, so you can create bracelets, shoelaces, hairties, bookmarks, cat collars, trims and more. Rigid heddle loom is 2.25 x 2.5 inches with a cute grazing sheep on top, shuttle is 2 inches long.
The kit includes:
• laser cut birch loom & shuttle
• an assortment perle cotton yarns (enough to make about two bracelets)
• wooden tension sticks
• cotton cord to use for loom setup
• 4 pages of full color photo instructions, plus patterns for 6 different bracelet designs
New for 2022: Kits are packaged in recyclable poly bags and reusable zip top bags to reduce packaging waste.
Weaving is easy and fun to learn. These kits contain small parts and are not suitable for children under age 9. You need to supply scissors and a couple of sturdy objects to connect your threads to. PLEASE NOTE: The way this loom is set up, you must be able to attach your thread ends onto two sturdy objects to weave on the loom. Those sturdy objects could be many different things: woodworking or c-clamps, table or chair legs, door or drawer knobs, your belt, a weight like a brick, a tree... (see photos for more ideas)
